A downloadable game for Windows and macOS

Featherpath Overview

Play as a spellsword who finds herself drawn down the path of adventure.  Discover items and abilities to increase your power as you travel the path. The journey is treacherous and obscure, but feathers guide the way.

Note from the developer

This demo is the first level of a larger project that I'm hoping to continue.  It's heavily inspired by Fromsoft titles as well as 2D souls-likes such as Unworthy, Hollow Knight, and Vigil: The Longest Night, though the pacing probably shares most in common with the slower, methodical gameplay of the original Dark Souls.

At the moment only mouse and keyboard are supported, unfortunately. However, I have plans to include controller support in future versions.

Featherpath is the first game I've ever made, and I'm still very much in the process of learning. I haven't come across any major gameplay bugs in my own play testing, but if you encounter any I would welcome a comment and/or your feedback. Any other general feedback or suggestions are appreciated as well!

Tips for Gameplay

  • Press 'Escape' at any time to pause the game and see which keys are bound to which actions.
  • The game saves automatically when you die, rest, or exit via the menu. If you select "New Game" from the menu, though, it will reset your save file.
  • You may need to "pet the cat" to refresh inventory items and upgrades.
  • If you reach the end of the demo and haven't discovered the level boss or both whetstones, consider going back and exploring a bit :)
  • The credits can be accessed from the title menu or at the end of the demo.
